"Gamma phis value of “love” radiates through each and everyone of our sisters. From the moment I joined gphi I could feel the warmth and the genuine nature in each of our sisters. I know at the end of the day, through the best and the worst of times, they will always be there, and that is love."

This value to me means being loyal to yourself and to those around you. Coming into recruitment I realized that as a transfer through the process I wanted to end up finding friends that I would have forever. Since fall of 2019 I can say I’ve found that group within Gamma Phi Beta and the girls I met a week after bid night are still my best friends today. We stick by each other through our hard times and our fun times, and we always have each others backs. I think that is a great example of loyalty.

“The value of labor for me, means working together as sisters to raise money for the organization Girls on the Run and HuskyTHON! Our sisters do such a great job working to beat our fundraising goals and grow our chapter while doing it. The passion that each of our sisters have to better our community and philanthropy is what makes the Eta Theta chapter so unique! My acts of labor in GPhi have taught me how rewarding it is when you dedicate yourself to a cause and have other sisters share that same dedication with you.”

“GPhi has shown me love from anywhere between countless study dates in the mornings to free flowing conversations during fireside chats at night. I’ve never felt more welcomed by a group of girls than I am in Eta Theta. Just knowing I can reach out to anyone in our countless group chats and know that they would be there for me makes me so proud to call these women my sisters. I love the version of who I am when I am around my sisters and they know that they can count on me too. It is so rewarding to be in a community like this and I only hope to make the most of it with as much love as possible in these next few semesters.”

"To me, loyalty means being there for your sisters during the best and worst times. It is about supporting and caring for one another during those times we need someone to lean on, but also cheering each other on during the happy moments. It is about checking in on each other and showing that you care, even if it’s been a while. Gphi has brought me so many sisters that helped me through thick and thin and I will forever be grateful for the true loyalty and friendships that I have made along the way"

"Gamma Phi Beta has given me the confidence to prosper in Labor. The women of this organization inspire and support one another constantly. I knew Gamma Phi Beta was meant for me when I wanted to start my own business and had an overflowing amount of support from these women. Our philanthropy ‘Building Strong Girls’ resonates with me and through our events, we are able to support Girls on the Run. I am forever grateful and amazed to be a part of a great sisterhood that prioritizes becoming your true self."

"Learning can be devoting your time to studying and academics, but it can also be learning a new skill. It can be learning about new topics you never heard of, or immersing yourself in an unfamiliar environment. It can be learning something you didn't know before, or growing as a person and striving to become the best version of yourself in any and all aspects of life! Here in Gamma Phi we foster an encouraging environment that allows new ideas to flourish while never failing to push on another out of their comfort zone. Learning takes form in new opportunities and life lessons, both things we value in and out of our chapter."

Our Motto: Founded on a Rock

"Since the rock is the firmest and most enduring substance, able to withstand the ravages of time, and offering the strongest protection, it seemed fitting that Gamma Phi Beta should be thus founded." – Founder E. Adeline Curtis (Syracuse, 1874)
